Websites and retro computing

one of the many things i have an interest in is retro computing and early web stuff. this site is one of the outcomes of that interest! I enjoy making virtual machines using Virtual Box. Virtual box is a virtual machine software that oracle made, it is completely free and acomplishes the same thing as VMWare Does. the operating systems i like emulating are windows 2000 (the best of both the post dos and dos age of windows) windows xp, windows 3.1/dos, 98 and 95. although Guest Additions arent supported with 98 and 95, i still like emulating them anyways, if i had one main infulence that sparked my interest in all this it would have to be the aesthetic and geocities. (what neocities is trying to be in the modern era)

Penpals and writing letters

in the last 5 years i got the bright idea of getting a penpal or two. in my early search for penpals i found a site called Students of the world, Heres the link if you are interested its an outdated looking website but its got a vibe to it. i think i found maybe a couple penpals on there. but id say i had more success with the penpal website im about to talk about. that site being global penfriends, a site thats more recent and has a lot less confusing bits to it. ive gained the most penpals from that site and im glad ive been able to find so many new friends. as i forgot to add on my life page getting older means you acutally have to make an effort to make friends. my main reasoning for wanting penpals is the ability to gain physical letters and sending physical letters, having a penpal to learn new languages from and to make new friends and learn aout different cultures. if it wasnt for penpalling id definetely not be the person i am now. also HI! to any penpals currently reading this!

Film & Digital Photography

you could say everyone has atleast a small interest in photography but i like film photography more as you tend to shoot more meaningful photos and you feel a satisfaction when you get a in focus shot with the correct lighting especially on any polaroid 600 camera god those things are hard to focus but its what i have, i mean i got it a bargain from a car boot sale not too long ago for £4 idk what that is in freedom bucks but oh well. the film is mega expensive but its worth it in my opinion. i know it is an expensive hobby aswell but i dunno i find it awesome :) i will try to upload some photos on a new page on this site called my silly photography.

Vinyl Records & Disc Jockeying & music in general

this is definitely one of my strongest interests and hobbies, ive kinda always loved vinyl records even from a young age but its only been in recent years since ive wanted to learn to DJ, and because of that ive amassed a collection of EDM vinyls, im not sure what got me into music in general, ive always had a semi open mind to most genres but as of recent you could say ive entered my musical discovery golden age as more than ever am i dipping my toes into new genres ive neer listened to. i mean younger me wouldve never touched upon UK Garage, Techno, House, Happy hardcoe etc and wouldve thought its pure shite but im glad ive opened my mind to new musical tastes :). ive also been dipping my toes into soviet rock, and listening to bands such as КИНО, Наутилус Помпилиус and others like it. but ive also been listening to other bits from the east such as yugoslav stuff. my only reccomendations i can make is turbofolk and kerber's Ratne Igre.
